Notes: Conclusions 1. The possibility of evaluating the stability of lithium lubricants to oxidation by the method of IR spectroscopy (frequency region 1800-1700 cm−1) was established. [(Quartz lamp) and dynamic (TsKB-79 bearing stand) methods of oxidation are characterized by a general pattern of increasing optical density of the oxidized lubricants.] 2. It was shown that the effectiveness of the action of antioxidant additives, evaluated by the rate and amount of oxygen-containing products formed, can be judged according to the value of the coefficient n. 3. Antioxidant additives in lithium lubricants are arranged in the following sequence with respect to effectiveness of the inhibiting action: diphenylamine, phenyl-α-naphthylamine, and α-naphthol. The compatibility of lithium lubricants with additives depends on the composition of the thickener.
