    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract There is only a weak correlation between the resistivity of battery grade manganese dioxides and their water content. In general, however, the resistivity of amorphous andγ-MnO2 samples increases with rising water content. Exceptions were observed;α-MnO2 andβ-MnO2 do not follow the rule. The pressure exponent deviates even in theγ-MnO2 type of structure.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Der elektrische Pulverwiderstand und der Wassergehalt von Batteriebraunsteinen hängen nur locker miteinander zusammen. Immerhin läßt sich der von anderen Autoren beobachtete Trend bestätigen: der Widerstand quasi-amorpher undγ-MnO2 Sorten wächst generell mit dem Wassergehalt. Dabei werden Ausnahmen beobachtet,α- undβ-MnO2 folgen dieser Regel nicht. Der Druckexponent zeigt selbst innerhalb derγ-Familie kein einheitliches Verhalten.
