Notes: Summary Six human brains with „hepatocerebral degeneration“ were examined in 2 (4) different regions for their content of total lipids (TL), neutral lipids (NL) and cholesterol (CHO). Compared with normal brains the content of NL was significantly reduced in both regions and the content of CHO was decreased only in the white matter, whereas the CHO concentration in the gray matter and the TL content in both regions did not show any difference.
