Zusammenfassung Gramicidin kann in Tyrothricin-Reinprodukten und Fermentationsbreiextrakten mit quantitativer Hochleistungs-Dünnschicht-Chromatographie rasch bestimmt werden. Die Sichtbarmachung der Substanzflecken erfolgt durch mechanisierte Besprühung mit 4-Dimethylaminobenzaldehyd. Bei on-line-Auswertung über einen Computer beträgt der Zeitaufwand für eine Bestimmung 9 min, die Standardfehler der Mittelwerte (N = 10, 95 % statistische Sicherheit) liegen zwischen 2,0 und 2,7 %. Mit mikrobiologisch ermittelten Werten besteht hohe Korrelation.

Abstract Gramicidin can be determined rapidly in tyrothricin pure products and in fermentation broth extracts by quantitative high-performance thin-layer chromatography. The spots are visualized by mechanized spraying with 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde. With on-line computer evaluation one determination requires 9 min. The 95 % confidence limits are 2.0–2.7% (N = 10). There is a high correlation with microbiological results.
