Résumé Les auteurs rapportent quatre cas d'occlusion des artères «cérébrales» avec «drainage» de l'hémisphère controlatéral (vol interhémisphérique). Dans deux cas seulement, la symptomatologie provenait de l'hémisphère «sain». Un bilan angiographique complet semble toujours indiqué lorsqu'on observe un remplissage intensif des artères de l'hémisphère controlatéral sur l'angiographie carotidienne ou vertébro-basilaire puisque cela peut faire suspecter l'occlusion de l'artère carotide.

Zusammenfassung Mitteilung von 4 Fällen von Gefäßverschlüssen mit Anzapfen der gesunden Gegenhemisphaere, wobei in dieser (oft nur in dieser!) Mangelsymptome auftreten.

Summary Description of 4 cases of occlusion of “cerebral” arteries with “draining” of the opposite hemisphere (“interhemispheric steal”). In two cases symptomatology only arose from the “healthy” hemisphere. Total angiographic examination seems always indicated, when in carotid or basilar angiography intensive filling of the arteries of the “opposite” hemisphere is observed, since it may indicate occlusion of the carotid artery.
