Zusammenfassung Bei 300 Patienten wurden prospektiv randomisiert 6 verschiedene Kunststoffverweilkanülen eingesetzt (Braunöle 1, Viggo, Abbocath, Intranüle, Quickcath, Jelco) (niederosmolare Lösungen). Die lokalen Auswirkungen der Punktion am Einstichort wurden graduell bei 24, 48, und 72 h mit Hilfe eines 6-PunkteSchemas protokolliert. Die Punktionseigenschaften der Kanülen maßen wir an Leichenhauteinstichversuchen. Die Thrombogenitität ermittelten wir durch Bestimmung des Thrombustrockengewichtes und des RFT-Testes bei Ratten. Es konnte gezeigt werden, daß eine enge Relation besteht zwischen Verarbeitung und Gewebsreaktion.

Summary In a prospective randomized trial 300 patients received one of 6 different venous cannulae for a period of 1–3 days (Braunöle 1, Viggo, Abbocath, Intranüle, Quickcath, Jelco). Low molecular infusions were given under standardized conditions. We used a 6-point check list to classify local skin reactions. The puncture characteristics of the cannulae were investigated on fresh cadaver skin using the “Instron” testing device. In rat experiments we measured the rate of thrombogenicity of these cannulas by using the RFT-test and by determining the thrombus weights. We demonstrated a correlation between manufacturing quality of the cannulas and the rate of complications.
