Résumé L'analyse de différents os de 5 poulets a montré qu'il existe pour chaque animal une corrélation directe entre le fluorure et le citrate et une corrélation indirecte entre le fluorure et l'anhydride carbonique. On suppose que les ions fluorure, citrate et carbonate entrent en compétition au niveau des liaisons anioniques à la surface des cristaux osseux. Certains de ces sites seraient occupés normalement soit par un ion carbonate seul, soit par un ion citrate accompagné d'un ion fluorure.
Abstract:
Zusammenfassung Die Analysen der verschiedenen Knochen von 5 Hühnerskeleten zeigten, daß sich der Fluoridgehalt bei jedem Tier proportional zum Citratgehalt und umgehehrt proportional zum Kohlendioxyd verhält. Es wird vorgeschlagen, daß Fluorid-, Citrat-und Carbonationen für die anionischen Bindungsstellen auf der Oberfläche der Knochenkristalle miteinander konkurrieren; normalerweise könnten gewisse Stellen entweder von einem Carbonation allein oder von einem Citrat-und Fluoridion zusammen besetzt werden.

Abstract Analysis of individual bones of the skeletons of 5 pullets showed that, in each bird, fluoride was positively correlated with citrate and negatively with carbon dioxide. It is suggested that fluoride, citrate and carbonate ions compete with one another for the anionic binding sites on the surface of the bone crystals and that certain sites may normally be occupiedeither by a carbonate ion aloneor by a citrate and a fluoride ion together.
