Notes: The effect of ion implant processes on an amplitude and phase of thermal wave signals from semiconductors was analyzed. It is experimentally shown for InP and GaAs that the ion implantation results in a considerable increase of the signal amplitude when using Nd:YAG pump laser at 1.06 μm wavelength. It was found out that the nature of spatial oscillations observed in a signal behavior is forced by pump radiation interference due to the internal reflection from a rear sample surface.
