Notes:
A simple electron-beam control circuit has been designed and constructed for electron-impact dissociation experiments on Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometers (FT-ICR or FTMS). Two types of electron beams from a common filament are controlled by three TTL signals. The electron beam current is adjusted by varying the grid potential while the filament current is kept constant.
