Microstructure and boundary populations were investigated in a superplastic Al-5.5%Mg-2.2%Li-0.12%Zr alloy hot-deformed by equal channel angular extrusion. The microstructure wasfound to be inhomogeneous and revealed deformation structures being subdivided by both low- andhigh-angle boundaries
