Notes: FEM analysis has proved to be a powerful investigative tool capable of encompassing allthe aspects that characterise an SPF process. In this paper, with the aid of a commercial finite elementsoftware is used to simulate high strain rate superplastic bulging process of Al-6Mg-0.2Sc alloy sheetbox part under different technological parameters such as with and without lubrication. Base onobtaining optimum the loading curve, the strain rate distributions and thickness distribution informing process by FE simulation, the relative validation experiments be carried out. It was found thatthe thickness gradient of the formed parts will be effectively improved reducing the interfacial frictionby use of a lubrication at a higher strain rate forming. The results of the experiments are in goodaccordance with the FE numerical predictions both in terms of thickness distribution and formingtimes
