Zusammenfassung Es wird über einen 23jährigen Patienten mit der rigiden Form der Huntingtonschen Krankheit berichtet, bei welchem neben einem massiven Rigor und Tremor eine erhebliche Bradykardie und ein AV-Block II. Grades Typ I bestand. Unter der Gabe von Anticholinergika besserten sich die neurologischen Symptome und auch der AV-Block bildete sich vorübergehend zurück. Diese Störungen werden deshalb einem Überwiegen der cholinergen Aktivität zugeschrieben, im Gegensatz zu dem bekannten Defizit bei der hyperkinetischen Form.

Summary A 23-year-old patient with the rigid form of Huntington's disease is reported who, in addition to severe rigidity and tremor, suffered from marked bradycardia and a type I second-degree AV block. With the administration of anticholinergics, the neurological symptoms improved and the AV block subsided temporarily. These disorders are therefore attributed to a dominance of cholinergic activity as opposed to the well-known deficit in the hyperkinetic form of Huntington's disease.
