Résumé Dans ce nouveau mode de fixation horizontal pour arcs vestibulaires et linguaux, une pièce, mobile autour du pas de vis dont est pourvu l'extrémité de l'arc, sert de verrou. L'arc se place dans un tube fendu, ouvert du côté de la face triturante, et l'étrier de la pièce mobile est ramené autour du tube et vient se loger du côté opposé. Il faut noter la simplicité de préparation et d'utilisation de ce verrou, qui permet l'allongement ou le raccourcissement de l'arc, ainsi que ses dimensions minimes, qui en fait recommander l'emploi sur les molaires inférieures.
Abstract:
Synopsis In this new horizontal lock for labial and lingual arches a movible piece, which screws on to the threaded end of the arch-wire, serves to lock it. The arch is placed into a slotted tube, opened towards the masticating surface, and the bow of the movable piece is moved gingivally around the slit tube and comes to rest on the under surface of the latter. Notice should be taken of the ease of construction and handling of this lock, which allows lengthening and shortening of the arch, as well as of its small size, which makes its highly recommendable for use on lower molars.

Zusammenfassung Bei dem neuen Horizontalschloß für orale und faziale Bögen dient ein Überfang, der sich auf dem mit Gewinde versehenem Bogenende drehbar bewegt, als Verschluß. Der Bogen wird von der Kaufläche her in ein horizontales Schlitzröhrchen gelegt und der Bügel des Überfanges über das Schlitzröhrchen herübergedreht, an dessen abgeflachter Unterfläche es Halt findet. Zu beachten ist die einfache Herstellung und Handhabung des Schlosses, das eine Verlängerung und Verkürzung des Haupt-bogens ermöglicht, und seine geringe Dimension, die seine Anwendung besonders bei niedrigen Molaren empfiehlt.
