Summary Based on a case of a typical medulloblastome whereby after neurosurgical treatment osteoplastic reticulosarkomatosis outside the central nervous system developed, the simultanous occurrence of these 2 tumours in one and the same patient is pointed out. The question of medulloblastoma metastasis is discussed and furthermore the opinion expressed that in the absence of respective bioptic and autoptic confirmation, a diagnosis of extracranial metastasis of a medulloblastoma should not be made.

Zusammenfassung Es wird über die Krankengeschichte eines Patienten mit einem typischen Medulloblastom berichtet, bei dem sich nach der operativen Entfernung dieser Geschwulst mehrere Tumoren außerhalb des Zentralnervensystems entwickelt hatten, die klinisch zu differentialdiagnostischen Schwierigkeiten führten. Durch Biopsien sowie durch histologische Untersuchungen nach dem Tod konnte die Diagnose einer osteoplastischen Reticulosarkomatose gestellt werden. Es handelt sich also um das Vorkommen zweier verschiedener Geschwülste bei einem Tumorträger. Die Frage der Metastasierung des Medulloblastoms wird diskutiert und hierbei darauf hingewiesen, daß ohne entsprechende Probeexcision bzw. autoptische Bestätigung die Metastasenbildung eines Medulloblastoms außerhalb des Zentralnervengewebes nicht diagnostiziert werden soll.
