    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Zusammenfassung Thermolumineszenzmessungen gehören zu den thermoanalytischen Methoden und dienen der Untersuchung thermisch stimulierter Relaxationsvorgänge in Festkörpern, der Erlangung qualitativer Informationen über den Mechanismus der Energiespeicherung und zur Berechnung quantitativer spektroskopischer Parameter der Haftstellen. Die Thermolumineszenz von undotierten und Tb3+-aktivierten LaOBr-Materialien wurde untersucht. Die experimentellen Ergebnisse eigener Arbeiten werden zusammengestellt und einige Faktoren von Einfluss auf die Thermolumineszenz des Systems werden diskutiert.
    Kurzfassung: Резюме Метод термолюминесц енции является одним из термосналитических методов, позволяющий изучать термически стимулир ованные релаксационные проц ессы в твердых телах и дает качественную и нформацию о механизм е накопления энергии, а также подволяет пров одит вычисления количест венных параметров спектроскопических ловушек. Изучена терм олюминесценция термолюминесценция чистого LaOBr и его образц а, активированного трехвалентным терби ем. Обобщены экспериментальные р езультаты и обсужден ы некоторые факторы, затрагивающ ие термолюминесценц ию этой системы.
    Notizen: Abstract Thermoluminescence measurements are thermoanalytical techniques that allow study of the thermally stimulated relaxation processes in solids, yielding qualitative information on the mechanism of energy storage and permitting calculation of quantitative trap-spectroscopic parameters, too. The thermoluminescence of undoped and Tb3+-activated LaOBr materials was investigated. The experimental results are summarized and some factors influencing the thermoluminescence of this system are discussed.

    Notizen: Summary Alien monosomic additions in beet (Beta vulgaris), each carrying one of the nine chromosomes of B. procumbens, were grown in vivo and in vitro to study the effect of the alien chromosomes on plant development. All additional chromosomes caused a reduction of the growth rate in vivo, which, in one case was so strong that some of the plants died as seedlings. In general, the morphological plant characteristics were not very useful to distinguish the addition types; this could have been the results of the wide variation in the recipient parent. However, some developmental characteristics proved to be highly chromosome-specific; for plants in vivo this was annuality, in combination with early or late flowering. If grown in vitro, chromosome specificity was observed for growth type (rosette or elongated stem), occurrence and rate of vitrification, occurrence and morphology of wound callus, formation of additional meristems on the midribs of leaves, formation of roots and a specific reaction to benzylaminopurine (BAP) the medium. Two chromosome types of B. procumbens caused resistance to the beet cyst nematode.

    Notizen: Abstract Achievements and limitations regarding three aspects of cytogenetic research in barley and common wheat are illustrated and discussed. Unambiguous chromosome identification has become possible through the application of chromosome banding techniques, mainly C-banding, N-banding and Ag-banding. Gene localisation studies have yielded a vast amount of information regarding the genetic architecture of barley and wheat. Many genes have been allocated to specific chromosomes, and linkage studies have been carried out with some of these genes. There is growing evidence for a considerable discrepancy between distances on the genetic linkage maps and the physical maps of barley and wheat chromosomes. Although barley can be hybridised with most species of the genus Hordeum and with several species of related genera, interspecific gene transfer is very rare and barley breeding can presently make use of the gene pool of only one wild species, viz. H. vulgare ssp. spontaneum. For wheat breeding, the gene pools of species of the genus Triticum and species of related genera are accessible. Several methods have been developed to achieve gene transfer. Genome interactions in interspecific hybrids result in spatial separation of the parental genomes, in nucleolar competition, and sometimes in chromosome elimination and the formation of haploids.
