Conclusions The replacement of bromine in perfluoroalkyl bromides by an FSO2O group by the action of (FSO2O)2 occurs upon catalysis by Br2 or HSO3F, while the fluorosulfation of perfluoroalkyl chlorides by peroxydisulfuryl difluoride is achieved in the presence of superacid HSO3F/SbF5 and catalytic amounts of ClOSO2F or Cl2.
