Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Einzelne Leberfunktionsproben wurden bei der heterolog perfundierten Leber, sofort nach orthotoper Transplantation und beim normalen Ganztier (Schwein) verglichen. Das biliäre Transportmaximum für Bromsulphalein in Milligramm/Minute ist bei Perfusion und nach Transplantation auf 20-500/0 des Mittelwertes von Normaltieren vermindert. Die Galaktoseeliminationskapazität in Milligramm/Minute/Kilogramm Körpergewicht des Schweines ist während Perfusion auf 30-500/0 des mittleren Normalwertes reduziert, nach Transplantation liegt sie knapp unterhalb der Norm. Der basale Gallenfluß ist bei allen 3 Situationen vergleichbar. Die frisch transplantierte Leber mit ihren reduzierten Partialfunktionen ist imstande, das Leben des Empfängertiers zu erhalten. Die vergleichbare Funktionseinschränkung bei der perfundierten Leber läßt es möglich erscheinen, daß auch dieses Präparat eine lebenserhaltende Gesamtfunktion hat.

Notes: Summary Individual liver function tests were compared in heterologously perfused liver, immediately after orthotopic transplantation and in the normal whole animal (pig). The biliary transport maximum for bromosulphalein in mg/min is reduced to 20-50% of the mean values of normal animals in perfusion and after transplantation. The capacity to eliminate galactose in mg/min/kg body weight of the pig is reduced to 30-500/0 of the mean normal value during perfusion. After transplantation it lies just below the normal. Basal bile flow is comparable in all three situations. Freshly transplanted liver with its reduced partial functions is capable of sustaining the life of the recipient animal. The comparable limitation of function of the perfused liver makes it seem possible that this preparation also has a life sustaining total function.

Description / Table of Contents: Summary A procedure for determining the best fitted parameters of a three layer case to a given travel time curve by the least squares method is described. At most three parameters can be calculated, the other three have to be known. Refraction is taken into account exactly. The calculations have to be made with the aid of a computer. The unknown parameters can be determined approximatively by simple formulas.

Notes: Zusammenfassung Ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der im Sinne der Methode der kleinsten Quadrate bestangepassten Schichtparameter an eine gemessene Laufzeitkurve wird angegeben. Es können höchstens drei Parameter berechnet werden, die drei übrigen Parameter müssen bekannt sein. Die Brechung wird exakt berücksichtigt. Das Verfahren ist für Berechnung durch Computer geeignet. Einfache Formeln gestatten eine angenäherte Bestimmung der unbekannten Parameter.
