    Description / Table of Contents: Reactions of 1,3,5-Trifluoro-1,3,5-trioxo-1λ6,3λ6,5λ6,2,4,6-trithiatriazine (Sulfanuric Fluoride) with AminesWhereas the reaction of the trithiatriazine 1 with diethylamine yields only mono- and disubstituted derivatives (2b, 3), the reaction with dimethylamine results in the replacement of one, two, or three fluorine atoms (→ 2a, 3a, 4). On the other hand, only mono- or trisubstituted compounds (5a, b or 9a, b, resp.), are formed by the reactions of 1 with primary amines such as methylamine and ethylamine. Ammonia reacts with 1 to give 10·NH3. The free compound 10 is formed by treatment with HCl gas. 10 reacts with P(C6H5)4Cl to yield the ionic compound 11 and with benzaldehyde to form the Schiff base 12. With secondary diamines 1 preferentially undergoes intermolecular linkage with formation of 13, but a bicyclic compound 14 could also be prepared in low yield. 1 reacts with silylamines such as RN(SiMe3)2 (R = CH3, C2H5) only after addition of RNH(SiMe3) (→ 15a, b). Sn—N cleavage reactions with 1 occur more readily. Only monosubstituted products (e. g. 16) are formed. Reaction of 1 with phenylhydrazine results in reduction of a sulfur atom and formation of the anion 17. A substituted anion (18) was also prepared from 2a by this method. The reaction behavior of 1 is discussed in detail.
    Notes: Während das Trithiatriazin 1 mit Diethylamin nur zu Mono- und Disubstitutionsderivaten (2b, 3b) reagiert, kann Dimethylamin ein, zwei oder auch drei Fluoratome austauschen (→2a, 3a, 4). Die Reaktion von 1 mit primären Aminen wie Methylamin und Ethylamin liefert hingegen nur Mono- und Trisubstitutionsprodukte (5a, b bzw. 9a, b). Ammoniak reagiert mit 1 zu 10·NH3, die freie Verbindung 10 entsteht nach Behandeln mit HCl-Gas. Mit P(C6H5)4Cl gibt 10 die ionische Verbindung 11, mit Benzaldehyd die Schiffsche Base 12. Mit sekundären Diaminen setzt sich 1 bevorzugt unter intermolekularer Verknüpfung (13) um, aber auch eine bicyclische Verbindung 14 ist in geringer Ausbeute darzustellen. Mit Silylaminen wie RN(SiMe3)2 (R = CH3, C2H5) reagiert 1 erst nach Zusatz von RNHSiMe3 (→ 15a, b). Sn-N-Spaltungsreaktionen mit 1 verlaufen erheblich leichter, wobei ausschließlich Monosubstitutionsprodukte (z. B. 16) gebildet werden. 1 gibt mit Phenylhydrazin unter Reduktion eines Schwefelatoms das Anion 17. Auch ein substituiertes Anion (18) konnte auf diesem Wege aus 2a dargestellt werden. Das Reaktionsverhalten von 1 wird ausführlich diskutiert.

    Notes: : Public involvement in water resources planning is receiving much current attention, and there is a need to examine systematically how different public involvement techniques work in practice. The following techniques were among those used to involve the public in a recent Corps of Engineers’study of flooding on San Pedro Creek in Pacifica, California: a public workshop, citizen information bulletins (CIBs) and questionnaries. Interviews were held with 75 study participants to evaluate the effectiveness of these techniques. The interviews indicated that various study participants felt positively about the particular workshop format employed and about the use of a communications specialist to train workshop leaders. There were mixed reactions to the effectiveness of the CIBs and questionnaires. Although many individual citizens felt that the CIBs and questionnaires were useful, some of the Corps planners felt that CIBs and questionnaires would only be “cost-effective” on large studies and/or where the questionnaire response rate was high. The interviews led to a number of specific suggestions regarding how the extent of public involvement could be increased in future water resources planning studies.

    Notes: Die pränatale Entwicklung des Cerebellums der Ratte von Tag 12–20 wurde mit Hilfe einer lichtmikroskopischen Serienschnittuntersuchung aufgezeigt. Während der Proliferationsphase von Tag 12–14 tritt vor allem in der kaudalen Zwischenzone und in der Mittelzone der Cerebellumanlage eine Massenzunahme auf, wohingegen die rostrale Zwischenzone eine geringere Proliferationstendenz zeigt. In der sich anschließenden Schichtungsphase von Tag 15–18 tritt die embryonale Körnerschicht am Tag 15 in alien unter-suchten Sdinittebenen in der kaudalen Zwischenzone gleichzeitig auf. Die innere Körnerschicht läßt sich zum erstenmal am Tag 16 dokumentieren. Am Tag 18 ist die Schichtung der Kleinhirnrinde in EGL (Molekularschicht) und IGL abgeschlossen. Die anschließende Proliferationsphase am Tag 19–20 zeigt sich in einer Zunahme der einzelnen Schichten. Die Ergebnisse werden mit den Befunden anderer Autoren diskutiert.〈section xml:id="abs1-2"〉〈title type="main"〉SummaryThe development of the cerebellum in rat embryos from day 12 to day 20 p. c.The prenatal development of the cerebellum of the rat from day 12–20 was shown with the help of a light-microscopic serial section study. During the proliferation phase from day 12–14 an increase in mass occurs especially in the caudal interzone and the middle zone of the cerebellum anlage, whereas the rostral interzone shows a small proliferation tendency. In the following stratification phase day 15–18 the embryonic granular layer appears simultaneously in the caudal interzone on day 15 in all studied sectional planes. The internal granular layer can be first documented on day 16. On day 18 the layering of the cerebellar cortex in EGL (molecular layer) und IGL has been completed. The subsequent proliferation phase day 19–20 demonstrates an increase of the various layers. The results are discussed with the findings of other authors.〈section xml:id="abs1-3"〉〈title type="main"〉RésuméLe développement du Cervelet chez ľembryon de Rat du 12e au 20e jourLe développement prénatal du cervelet du Rat a été suivi, du 12e au 20e jour, par la méthode des coupes histologiques sérinés, examinées en microscopic optique. Pendant la phase de proliferation, du 12e au 14e jour, un accroissement de substance apparait surtout dans la zone intermédiaire cau-dale et dans la zone moyenne de ľébauche cérébelleuse, alors que la zone intermédiaire rostrale ne montre qu'une tendance proliférative moindre. Au cours de la phase de stratification, qui fait suite, du 15e au 18e jour, la couche granulaire embryonnaire apparait en mème temps, dans tous les plans de coupes examinés, au niveau de la zone intermèdiaire caudale. La couche granulaire interne devient observable, pour la première fois, au 16e jour. Au 18e jour, s'achève la lamination du cortex cérébelleux en un «Stratum mole-culare» et un «Stratum granulosum». La phase ulterieure de prolifération, des 19e–20e jours, se caractérise par un épaisissement de chaque couche. Ces résultats sont discutés avec ceux ďautres auteurs.〈section xml:id="abs1-4"〉〈title type="main"〉ResumenDesarrollo del cerebelo en embriones de ratas del día 12 hasta el día 20Se demostró el desarrollo prenatal del cerebelo de la rata desde el día 12 hasta el día 20 mediante un estudio con el microscopio corriente en cortes seriados. Durante la fase de proliferatión del día 12 al 14, se presenta un aumento de la masa especialmente en la zona intermedia caudal y en la zona media del esbozo del cerebelo, mientras que la zona intermedia rostral de-muestra una menor tendencia a la proliferación. En la siguiente fase de estratificación del día 15 al 18, la capa granulosa embrionaria se presenta simultáneamente el día 15 en todos los cortes examinados de la zona intermedia caudal. La capa granulosa interna se observa por primera vez el dia 16. El día 18 finaliza la estratificación de la corteza cerebelosa en EGL (capa molecclar) e IGL. La fase proliferativa que sigue los días 19 y 20, presenta un aumento de cada una de las capas. Los hallazgos se comparan con los resultados de otros autores.
