Notes:
This article reviews one hospital's experience in using the Lamaze method of childbirth with 150 deliveries. The hospital was a small (100 beds), community general hospital, and the original aim was to give the area's maternity patients a choice. The Lamaze program was made available to all patients and gained increased acceptance from staff physicians as it became established. More primigravidas than multiparas used the method. It proved to be cm excellent choice for parents seeking to experience prepared childbirth.
