2,3-Rearrangement of 2-Aza- to 2,3-Diazabicycles in Redox Reactions of their N-Nitroso and N-Amino DerivativesReduction of 2-aza bicyclic nitrosamines (3a, 7), oxidation of N-amino derivatives (3b, 7a) and oxidative N-amination induces rearrangement by 2,3-shift and insertion of the exocyclic nitrogen (→ 4, 5, 8). This will only occur, when allyl-stabilised intermediates are formed by homolytic ring opening. It is favored by release of ring strain.

Bei der Reduktion von 2-azabicyclischen Nitrosaminen (3a, 7) nach verschiedenen Methoden, bei der Oxidation von N-Amino-Derivaten (3b, 7a) sowie bei der oxidierenden N-Aminierung tritt eine Umlagerung auf, die unter 2,3-Verschiebung zur Insertion des exocyclischen Stickstoffs führt (→ 4, 5, 8). Sie kann nur ablaufen, wenn bei der homolytischen Ringöffnung allylstabilisierte Intermediäre entstehen, und wird durch hohe Ringspannung im Edukt gefördert.
