Redox-Disproportionation of Desyl SulfinatesDesyl sulfinates 3 as CH-activated compounds decompose thermally as well as base-catalyzed to yield above all α-diketones 4, disulfides 8, sulfonates 11, and thiolsulfonates 7. The sulfur compounds are products of the degradation of intermediate sulfenic acids which could be trapped by alkylation to sulfoxide.

Sulfinsäure-desylester 3 als CH-acide Verbindungen zersetzen sich sehr leicht sowohl thermisch als auch unter Basenkatalyse, wobei in erster Linie α-Diketone 4. Disulfide 8, Sulfonate 11 und Thiolsulfonate 7 entstehen. Die Schwefelverbindungen sind dabei Abbauprodukte intermediärer Sulfensäurestufen, die durch Alkylierung zum Sulfoxid abgefangen werden konnten.
