Notes: Abstract Let denote the symmetric group of order n!, K a field of characteristic p〉0, and Ra(K ) the radical of the group algebra K . In this paper it is shown that the quotient of the K-dimension of Ra(K ) and the K-dimension of K tends to 1, if n increases indefinitely. To prove this, I will use a correspondence between the indecomposable direct summands of K and the p-regular diagramms. Then by a detailed study of the hookgraphs of p-regular diagramms we obtain the result.

Notes: Abstract The group ring of a finite group G over a field K is a symmetric algebra and hence an injective ring. If K is of characteristic zero, KG is semisimple. Thus the center of KG is injective. We proof in this paper: If K is of characteristic p〉0, then the center of KG is injective, if and only if G is p-nilpotent and the p-Sylow-subgroups of G are abelian. We determine also the structure of these group rings. This will be done more generally for symmetric algebras which have an injective center and split over its Jacobson-radical.

Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung 1.
Notes: Summary 1. The problem of whether or not the electro-olfactogram (EOG) is a physiological response of the receptor to a given olfactory stimulus was investigated. It turned out that EOGs recorded with KCl-electrodes are biological potentials when their polarity is negative. Potentials with positive polarity are electrode potentials. Their polarity depends on the position of the electrodes in the contact series. 2. EOGs were successfully recorded from the sensory epithelia of the vomeronasal organ in amphibians (Rana) and mammals (Mus). They show the typical characteristics of the EOGs from the nasal mucosa of these animals. 3. The nose and the vomeronasal organ in lizards (Lacerta) manifest different olfactory spectra. Only 71% of those substances eliciting EOGs in the nose also caused a reaction in the vomeronasal organ. Lower members of homologous series of alcohols, aldehydes and fatty acids were especially effective. 4. The vomeronasal organs of two different orders of vertebrates differ in their reaction spectra. 5. Significant differences in relative EOG amplitudes were found between the nose and vomeronasal organ in lizards and between the vomeronasal organs of lizards and mice.

Description / Table of Contents: For the use of water-soluble wood preservations based on fluorides and chromates of alkaline metals which contain potassium and sodium, the fluoride is fixed particularly well in wood because there is formed the least soluble phase of all possible fluorochromates(III) of the system, K2Na[CrF6]. It develops from an aqueous solution always in a grossly disordered state because ions of alkaline metals and of fluorides are partly replaced by water molecules.
