Notes: Summary At the third day in the phytohaemagglutinin blood culture a blast undergoes an amitotic division of the nucleus with division of the cytoplasm within 20 seconds. 18 min later the two newly formed daughter cells produce a fusion of their cytoplasms and become a binucleated cell, later degenerating by lytical decay. The process is described in detail and kinematographically documented. The signification of the amitotic process for the regeneration of the haematopoiesis is uncertain.
