Notes: Abstract High spin states are populated in102Ag using the reaction16O+89Y with projectile energies in the energy range 60–80 MeV. Gamma multipolarities are inferred from DCO ratios and coincidence relationships are established among the gamma rays assigned to102Ag. A comprehensive level scheme is constructed with four band systems, two of positive parity and the other two of negative parity. The present study extended spins upto 19− in the main negative parity band. A new band is populated in the present work and is similar to the one observed in106Ag.

Notes: Abstract High spin states in theN=50 nucleus93Tc were reinvestigated by using the reaction64Zn (35Cl,4p 2n) at a beam energy of 140 MeV. This was done particularly with a view to observe anyγ rays upto 2.7 MeV which may have been missed in our earlier study where the experimental conditions were set to observeγ rays upto 2 MeV. We found four newγ rays of energy: 2484, 2164, 2130 and 69 keV. We have placed theseγ rays in the level scheme and it now gets extended to 49/2−. Though there is no substantial change in the level scheme, placing theγ rays in the level scheme has resulted into two important conclusions: (1) We have performed shell model calculations for93Tc nucleus within a model space which encompasses an enlarged proton configuration and allows for the excitation of the neutron across theN=50 core. The excitation of a single neutron across theN=50 core satisfactorily explains the new level scheme. (2) The energy of the 17/2− isomeric state is now unambiguously placed at 2185 keV.

Notes: Abstract High spin states of119Te, populated in110Pd(13C, 4n) and110Pd(12C, 3n) reactions, have been studied throughγ-ray spectroscopy. The level scheme has been established up to jπ=(55/2−). Three-quasiparticle states, based onπg 7 2/2 ⊗vh 11/2 andπg 7/2 d 5/2⊗vh 11/2 configurations, have been identified. A particularly favoured 39/2− state is suggested to be the fully aligned [πg 7 2/2 ]6+⊗[vh 11 2/3 ]27/2− yrast non-collective oblate configuration. This assignment is supported by Total Routhian Surface (TRS) calculations which also suggest a similar oblate assignment to states at 21/2−, 23/2− and 37/2−.
