Sommario È riportato il caso di un paziente con encefalomielite e dati di laboratorio indicativi per una infezione del sistema nervoso di Herpes zoster senza lesioni cutanee. La diagnosi è confermata dagli esami sierologici con sintesi di anticorpi specifici contro il virus Varicella-zoster a livello intratecale.

Abstract The case of a patient with encephalomyelitis and laboratory signs of a central nervous system herpes zoster infection without cutaneous lesions is reported. The diagnosis was supported by the serological evidence of intrathecal synthesis of specific antibodies against Varicella-zoster virus (VZV)
