Notes: Summary Adenylatekinase phenotypes of 1136 unrelated individuals from Hamburg were tested using starch electrophoresis. The following gene frequencies were determined: Adenylatekinase1 = 0.964, Adenylatekinase2 =0.036. Furthermore, 492 mother-child cases were tested. The phenotypes of the children approach, the expected distribution according to Hardy-Weinberg. The applicability in paternity proceedings is discussed. In exclusion cases it is suggested that the term “paternity is evidently impossible” be used.
