Notes: Abstract The distribution of Fe59 in plasma and blood at various time intervals has been studied in control, benzene and iomex administered, and anemic rats. A significant difference between control and benzene, and iomex treated animals was observed in the rate of reappearance of Fe59 in blood circulation. The accumulation of Fe59 in various organs was noted at the end of 48 h. A significant increase in the radio-iron content was observed in bone marrow, spleen and liver of benzene and iomex treated rats as compared to those of control rats.

Notes: Experiments on electro-osmosis of water through a cellulose acetate membrane have been reported and the data analyzed in the light of nonequilibrium thermodynamics. The linear phenomenological equations have been found to be valid. Study of the directional dependence of phenomenological coefficients has revealed the anisotropic character of the membrane. Efficiency of energy conversion for both electro-osmosis and streaming potential has been calculated and the results have been analyzed in the light of thermodynamic theories.

Description / Table of Contents: Durch Umsetzung von VCl4 mit sek. und tert. Aminen wurden weitere Amin: V = 2:1-Derivate des Vanadin(IV)-chlorides erhalten, deren mögliche Strukturen diskutiert werden.
Notes: Amino-derivatives of vanadium(IV) are prepared by the action of vanadium(IV) chloride with some secondary and tertiary amines, their properties studied and probable structures discussed. Analytical results reveal that two molecules of the amine are attached to one mole of vanadium(IV) chloride. The study of the amino-derivatives of vanadium(IV) chloride has been continued using the same methods of investigation as reported in Part I1). These compounds are very similar to the compounds formed with primary amines given in the previous work. The present work deals with the study of the preparation and properties of the compounds of vanadium tetrachloride with secondary and tertiary amines in non-aqueous media.
