Description / Table of Contents:
Notes:
Abstract Molybdatophosphoric acid can be determined polarographically with high specifity and sensitivity. A catalytic hydrogen wave is produced in ethanolic LiCl solution in the presence of acetic and some other carboxylic acids. The sensitivity may be varied within wide limits by choosing appropriate concentrations of supporting electrolyte and acid. The lowest limit of determination is about 1 ppb P (3−10−8 Mol/l). The determination is carried out advantageously after extraction with butyl acetate. No catalytic wave is observed with molybdatosilicic acid.
