Notes: Abstract Relativistic corrections for the elements and coordinates of the Moon have been obtained in the framework of the PPN-formalism. The influence of the coordinate conditions on the observational effects was studied.

Notes: Abstract In the present paper the celestial mechanics consequences (light deflection, radar ranging of the planet, geodetic precession and secular effects in the orbital elements in the two-body problem) for the class of the theories based on the vacuum Jordan's Lagrangian has been considered. In these theories the gravitational constantG is proportional to ϕ−η, ϕ being a scalar field and η, some dimensionless parameter and the local law of conservation of the energy-momentum tensor holds. Of all these theories with different η the most interesting one is that corresponding to η=0. In the postnewtonian approximation this gravitational theory is completely equivalent to the general theory of relativity.

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract The aim of this paper has been to discuss a possibility of the formation of an inertial system of coordinates, precise within 0″.001, with the aid of the measures of mutual angular distances of quasars by the VLBI technique used in radio-astronomy. Such a system depends on neither the rotation, nor revolution of the Earth around the Sun — a fact which permits a separation of the astronomical and geophysical aspects of the problem. The proposed system should permit us to resolve some general astrometric problems — such as of the precession and nutation of the Earth as well as of the motion of the terrestrial axis of rotation within the Earth, or fluctuations in the angular veoocity of terrestrial rotation.

Notes: Abstract In the framework of power-model of the structure function, the tropospheric limitations of accuracy of coordinate measurements, using phase and fringe frequency are shown. The general formulae, numerical estimates and a comparison between absolute and differential methods are given. It is shown that the tropospheric limitations are especially considerable for coordinate measurements, using fringe frequency.

Notes: Abstract The complete analysis of possible types of non-relativistic and ultra-relativistic motions in the field of the ‘naked’ singularity of the STGT is given. The problem of the infall of a monochromatic radiation emitter on the ‘naked’ singularity is studied. In spite of the absence of a ‘freezing’ effect in the STGT, the ‘naked’ singularity is not observable, for the brightness of the falling emitter decreases much faster than in the GTR. Atr≳r g , the trajectory of particles and light are quite similar to that of the GTR, and due to this fact the ‘naked’ singularity is observationally indistinguishable from a black hole.

Notes: Abstract The theorem is proved that presents a rigorous foundation of the possibility of unique reconstruction of the radio-image of the sourceI(r) from the modulus of visibility function |V(b|=|Î(r)|. This results gives a rigorous explanation of the efficiency of different numerical methods of the image reconstruction using only amplitude data which are widespread in radio-astronomy.

Notes: Abstract A cosmological model is proposed, in which quantum effects lead to infinitely many terms nonlinear in curvature, and these terms lead to the following conclusion: the physical singularity (i.e., a state with infinite matter densityp) occurs int≃10−43 s, when the curvature is finite. An attempt is made to give physical interpretation of this model from the viewpoint of the ‘foam-like’ model of space-time.
