Notes:
Summary With surgery controlled by microscope we have reduced the frequency of ablatio auris in favor of partial resection. We have developed a transpositional rotation flap and a double rotation flap to cover the defects of the auricular region 4–5 days after resection. If possible, we reconstruct the anterior and posterior auricle in one stage using a rib cartilage as support. Some examples are given.
