    Notizen: In the title compound, [Zn(CH5N3S)2](NO3)2, the zinc(II) ion is located on the twofold axis and chelated by two thiosemicarbazide ligands with Zn—S and Zn—N distances of 2.0904 (17) and 2.2672 (6) Å, respectively. Thus the central zinc(II) is four-coordinated and in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The inter- and intramolecular hydrogen bonds formed between thiosemicarbazide ligands and nitrate anions assemble the molecules into a one-dimensional chain.

    Notizen: Abstract A new monomeric copper(II) complex with 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy) and betaine (bet), [Cu(byy)(bet)2(H2O)](ClO4)2 · H2O, has been prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The complex crystallizes in the triclinic space groupP-1 witha=8.859(2),b=11.191(2),c=14.850(3) Å, α=91.41(1), β=97.19(1), γ=91.97(1)°,V=1459.2(7) Å3, andZ=2. The structure comprises discrete cations [Cu(bpy)(bet)2(H2O)]2+ in which the metal atom is coordinated in a distorted square-pyramidal environment by two oxygen atoms from a pair of monodentate carboxylato ligands [Cu−O=1.950(2) Å] and two nitrogen atoms of a bidentate bpy ligand [Cu−N=1.997(3)−2.005(3) Å] on the basal plane, and one aqua [Cu−O=2.267(3) Å] ligand at the apical position.

    Notizen: Abstract A cobalt-thiolato-phosphite complex [Co(o-SC6H4NH2){P(OMe)3}3]PF6 has been prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The complex crystallizes in the triclinic space group $$P\bar 1$$ with a = 10.590(4), b = 11.122(3), c = 13.577(5) Å, α = 101.85(1), β = 108.50(1), γ = 101.75(1)°, V = 1420.6(8) Å3, and Z = 2. The structure comprises discrete [Co(o-SC6H4NH2){P(OMe)3}3]+ cations and PF 6 − anions where the metal atom is coordinated in a highly distorted square-pyramidal environment by one chelate o-SC6H4NH 2 − (abt) and two P(OMe)3 ligands in the basal positions, and a third P(OMe)3 in the axial site with Co–N,, 1.847(5), Co–S, 2.166(2), Co–P, 2.157(2), 2.147(2), and 2.125(2) Å.

    Notizen: Abstract The copper atom in acetatoaqua[[(4-methylimidazol-5- yl)methylene]histamine]-copper(II) perchlorate (1) is N,N,N-chelated by the [(4-methylimidazol- 5-yl)methylene]histamine [Cu–N=1.969(3) ∼2.019(3) Å] donor ligand. The aqua ligand occupies the apical site of the square-pyramidal coordination polyhedron [Cu–O= 2.365(3) Å], whose fifth site is occupied by the carboxy oxygen atom of the monodentate acetato anion [Cu–O=1.960(3)Å]. Cyclic voltammetry in MeCN and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) gives a voltage of −0.39 and −0.37 V versus s.c.e, which compares well with the value obtained for Cu,Zn superoxide dimuthase itself.

    Notizen: Abstract A monomeric trimethylphosphite nickel(II) complex of 8-mercaptoquinoline (Hmtq), [Ni(mtq)P(OMe)3]Cl, was synthesised and characterised by X-crystallography, FAB-MS and cyclic voltammogram measurements. The nickel(II) atom is co-ordinated via the S and N atoms of the mtq− entity, one P(OMe)3 ligand and one Cl− anion in a square-planar geometry. Two types of main fragment ions were observed in the FAB mass spectrum of the title complex: Cl− followed by P(OMe)3. The electrochemical behaviour of the title complex in MeCN solution with n-Bu4NBF4 (0.1molL−1) as electrolyte on the Pt electrode indicates that the reversible redox reaction [Ni(mtq)P(OMe)3]+ + e ↔ [Ni(mtq)P(OMe)]0 has occured in MeCN.
