Hydroxidteilchen gedeutet.
Notes:
Summary The influence of amphoteric polyelectrolyte on the formation of some sparingly soluble hydroxides was investigated in the system: gelatin-Mez+-NaCI-HCI or NaOH, where Co2+, Ni+, Mg2+, Mn2+, Fe3+, A13+ in the form of their soluble salts were taken for Mez+. The systems were prepared (20°C) by mixing the aqueous solutions of the components. The component concentrations were systematically varied except that of NaCl, which was kept constant (6 x 10−1 M). The colloid chemical phenomena (the strong, very turbid, elastic and thixotropic gel, the clear solution, the hydroxide precipitate), dependent on the component concentrations and pH, were related to the choice of metallic ion (Mez+). The strong gel (in the region of low pH) was formed only when Fe3+ or Al3+ were taken for Mez+, and the clear solution and hydroxide sediment appeared in the corresponding pH region for all the systems reported (with exception of Al3+). The phenomena are interpreted as a consequence of interactions of functional groups of gelatin with metallic ion and/or hydroxide particle.
