    Notes: Abstract With the background of uranium mine restoration the adsorption of radium on different kinds of sandstone, claystone and lime marl was studied as a function of such parameters as water composition, acidity, phase contact time and the concentration of radium, barium and sulfate by static butch experiments at the mine temperature of 14 °C.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Ein präparativer Hochleistungsflüssigchromatograph wurde mit dem Ziel entwickelt, dieses effektive Verfahren für die Lösung radiochemischer Trennprobleme einzusetzen. Mit dem Gerät wurde die Seltenerdmetall-und Transplutoniumelementtrennung untersucht. Besonders die Trennung des Am und Cm von den Begleitelementen Eu, Gd, Tb und Dy aus dem vorhergehenden verdrängungschromatographischen Zyklus wurde vorteilhaft durch Elutionschromatographie mit α-Hydroxyisobuttersäure an einem hochvernetzten makroporösen Polystyrolharz ausgeführt.
    Notes: Summary A preparative scale high performance liquid chromatograph has been developed with the main objective to introduce this effective separation technique into the field of radiochemistry. By means of this chromatographic arrangement the ion exchange separation of rare earths and transplutonium elements has been studied. Especially the separation of Am and Cm from the accompanying elements Eu, Gd, Tb and Dy of the preceding DTPA-displacement cycle can advantageously be carried out by elution chromatography with α-hydroxyisobutyric acid on a highly cross-linked macroporous polystyrene resin.
