Preparation and Properties of DiborolanesThe five-membered ring molecules (X = S: 3a and X = NMe: 3b) are formed in good yields by the interaction of Cl2B—CH2CH2—BCl2 with the silyl compounds (Me3Si)2X. Substitution reactions in 3a and 3b for example with SbF3 or Me4Sn are accompanied by a ring cleavage. However, derivatives of the heterocycles, as the methyl compounds 4a and 4b, can be prepared from the partially methylated compound MeClB—CH2CH2—BMeCl (5) and (Me3Si)2X.

Die Fünfringmoleküle (X = S: 3a und X = NMe: 3b) entstehen in guten Ausbeuten aus Cl2B—CH2CH2—BCl 2 und den Silylverbindungen (Me3Si)2X. Substitutionsreaktionen an 3a und 3b z. B. mit SbF3 oder Me4Sn führen gleichzeitig zu Ringspaltungen. Derivate der Heterocyclen, Wie die Methylverbindungen 4a und 4b, lassen sich jedoch durch Umsetzung der partiell methylierten Verbindung MeClB—CH2CH2-BMeCl (5) mit (Me3Si)2X darstellen.
