Summary 200 carcasses of foxes out of the territory of Southern Hessia were examined with regard to their being attacked by endoparasites. Most frequently tapeworms (Mesocestoides lineatus and Taenia pisiformis) were found. Ascaridae (Toxocara canis) were stated with 104 animals, Capillaria plica with 99 animals. An infection with lung worms was found in 40 cases. From 4 carcasses trichinae were isolated. Only 7 foxes were free of any attacking endoparasites.
Abstract:
Résumé 200 cadavres de renards venant du district de Südhessen furent examinés sur leur affections endoparasitaires. Le plus souvent on trouvait les tenias (Mesocestoides lineatus et Taenia pisiformis). Chez 104 animaux on constatait une affection avec ascarides (toxocara canis), une infection avec capillaria plica chez 99 animaux. En 40 cas on constatait une infection avec strongylus commutatus. De 4 cadavres d'animaux on isolait des trichines. Seulement 7 renards étaient libres de toute affection endoparasitaires.

Zusammenfassung 200 Fuchstierkörper aus dem Raume Südhessen wurden auf ihren Endoparasitenbefall untersucht. Am häufigsten konnten Bandwürmer (Mesocestoides lineatus und Taenia pisiformis) gefunden werden. Ein Befall mit Spulwürmern (Toxocara canis) wurde bei 104 Tieren, ein Befall mit Haarwürmern (Capillaria plica) bei 99 Tieren festgestellt. Eine Infektion mit Lungenwürmern lag in 40 Fällen vor. Aus 4 Tierkörpern konnten Trichinen isoliert werden. Nur 7 Füchse waren frei von jeglichem Endoparasiten-Befall.
