Description / Table of Contents: Studies on Oxide Catalysts. XXXI. Cracking and Isomerization of Paraffins on Dealuminated MordenitesThe catalytic properties of H-mordenites dealuminated to different degrees were investigated in the cracking of a n-octane/isooctane mixture and - after addition of platinum - in the isomerization of n-hexane. Cracking and deactivation by coking during the reaction are interconnected. In the isomerization experiments highly dealuminated samples exhibit a low cracking activity and thereby an improved activity-time-behaviour at high selectivity to isomerization.
