Description / Table of Contents:
Notes:
Summary Migration inhibition activity could be demonstrated in guinea pig lymph node cultures, even when high concentrations of E. coli L-asparaginase were added together with the specific antigen tubereulin. The production of the migration inhibition factor (MIF) is not inhibited by L-asparaginase, though this enzyme is capable of preventing specific lymphocyte transformation in guinea pig lymph node cultures. Therefore it seems possible, that these two effects of specific antigen on lymphocyte cultures depend on different biochemical mechanisms.
