Notes:
Summary Two isozyme systems, phosphoglucomutase and glutamic-oxaloacetic-transaminase, have been studied in leaves ofNicotiana suaveolens, N. glutinosa and their interspecific hybrid. By analyzing the different isozyme patterns in the hybrid a model for the genetic control of these systems has been proposed. Phosphoglucomutase appears to be controlled by a single locus and glutamic-oxaloacetic-transaminase behaves as a dimeric isozyme system, being controlled by at least two loci.
