    Description / Table of Contents: Metal Pseudohalides. XL. Dicyanamido Metallates [M{N(CN)2}4]2- of Palladium(II) and Platinum(II)The synthesis of homologeous tetrakis-(dicyanamido) metallates(II), [M{N(CN)2}4]2- is reported. The coordination type of the ambivalent dicyanamide ligand is discussed on the basis of the i.r. and n.m.r. spectra of the new complexes.
    Notes: Es wird über die Synthese homologer Tetrakis(dicyanamido)metallate(II), [M{N(CN)2}4]2- (M: Pd, Pt) berichtet. Der in diesen Komplexen vorliegende Bindungstyp des ambivalenten Dicyanamid-Liganden wird anhand IR- sowie NMR-spektroskopischer Untersuchungen diskutiert.

Dicyanamide Complexes of Palladium(II) and Platinum(II) of the Type M{N(CN)2}2L2The synthesis of mixed dicyanamide complexes of the type M{N(CN)2}2L2 (M: Pd, Pt) is reported. Infrared and NMR-spectroscopic investigations are indicating the hitherto undescribed coordination type M—N(CN)2 of the anionic ligand.
    Notes: Es wird über die Synthese gemischter Dicyanamid-Komplexe des Typs M{N(CN)2}2L2 (M: Pd, Pt) berichtet. Die Ergebnisse IR- und NMR-spektroskopischer Untersuchungen lassen für diese Verbindungen auf den bisher nicht beschriebenen Koordinationstyp M—N(CN)2 des anionischen Liganden schließen.

    Description / Table of Contents: Structural Properties of Copper(II)Dicyanamide and Tricyanmethanide Complexes of Substituted PyridinesNew pseudohalogeno-copper(II) complexes of the type CuX2L2 (L = 2-, 4-methylpyridine, 3,4-dimethylpyridine, 2- or 4-ethylpyridine, quinoline) were prepared. From the I. R. spectra the bridging function of the pseudohalogenide ligands as well as their bridging mode were established. The E. S. R. spectra indicate in most cases an exchange coupling between magnetically unequivalent CuII atoms. From the electronic spectra follow the six-coordinate, elongated pseudooctahedral configurations with a near axial distortion. The high magnetic moments at room temperature reveal a ferromagnetic interaction between the CuII atoms.
    Notes: Es wird über die Synthese einer Reihe neuer Pseudohalogenid-Komplexe des Typs [CuX2L2] (X = N(CN)2, C(CN)3; L = 2-, 4-Methylpyridin, 3,4-Dimethylpyridin, 2-, 4-Ethylpyridin und Chinolin) berichtet. Aus den IR-Spektren werden Brückenfunktion und Bindungstyp der Pseudohalogenid-Liganden erkannt. Die ESR-Spektren der Komplexe zeigen in den meisten Fällen Austauschkopplung zwischen magnetisch nicht äquivalenten Kupfer(II)-Atomen an. Die Elektronenspektren der Komplexe weisen gestreckte pseudooktaedrische Konfiguration aus, während die magnetischen Momente ferromagnetische Wechselwirkung zwischen den CuII-Atomen anzeigen.
