Conclusions 1. The method for calculating the elastic —plastic behavior of a beam with many protuberances, manufactured from a composite material, and exposed to the simultaneous action of mechanical and thermal loads enables the actual operation conditions of a construction, and the actual physicomechanical properties of the materials employed to be represented more completely. 2. Considering an elastic “Winklerov” base to be a limiting case of a continuous beam on elastically distorted supports, it is possible to apply an engineering method of calculating beams manufactured of composite materials, supported on an elastic base, and exposed to the simultaneous action of mechanical and thermal loads, both in the range of elastic deformations and in the range of elastic —plastic deformations.
