Zusammenfassung Zur Frage funktioneller DNS-Veränderungen wurde der DNS-Gehalt von Zellkernen unter dem Einfluß folgender verschiedener experimenteller Bedingungen an Rattenorganen zytophotometrisch bestimmt: 1. im Nebennierenmark nach intermittierender Kälteeinwirkung (300 Std), 2. im Bereich der Zona glomerulosa, Zona fasciculata, Zona reticularis der Nebennierenrinde nach ACTH bzw. Cortisonbehandlung, 3. in der Schilddrüse nach Thyroxin, TSH bzw. Kältebehandlung. Unter sämtlichen Versuchsbedingungen blieb die DNS-Menge pro Zellkern in den verschiedenen Organen konstant. Eine Erhöhung der Mittelwerte des DNS-Gehaltes in Nebennieren (ACTH) und Schilddrüsen (TSH bzw. Kälte) ist durch S-Phasenzellkerne bedingt. Das Ergebnis dieser Untersuchungen steht in Widerspruch zu den Befunden anderer Autoren, die unter denselben Versuchsbedingungen in den gleichen Organen funktionelle DNS-Veränderungen gefunden haben. Die Ursache dieser Diskrepanz konnte nicht geklärt werden.

Summary Concerning the functional DNA changes the DNA content of the cell nuclei was defined cytophotometrically under the reaction of the following different experimental conditions at rat organs: li 2. within the region of Zona glomerulosa, Zona fasciculata, Zona reticularis of the suprarenal gland cortex after the use of ACTH, respectively after a cortison therapy, 3. in the thyroid gland after the use of thyroxin, TSH respectively low temperature shock. The DNA content per cell nucleus remains constantly in the different organs in all experimental conditions. An increase of the mean values of the DNA content is dependent on the S-phase cell nuclei in the suprarenal gland and in the thyroid gland (TSH respectively cold). The result of this investigation is in contradiction to the results of other authors who found functional DNA changes in the same organs under the equal experimental conditions. The cause of this discrepancy could not be explained.
