On the Identity of the Flavanone Rhamnoglucosides Sarotanoside and Isosarotanoside. Synthesis of (±)-Pinocembrin-7-β-neohesperidosideThe rhamnoglucosides of (-)-5,7-dihydroxyflavanone (pinocembrin), sarotanoside and isosarotanoside, isolated by different workers from Cytisus commutatus (Willk.) Brig. and Cytisus purgans Benth. et Hook., are identical. Comparison of the naturally occuring glycosides with synthetically prepared 5,7-dihydroxyflavanone-7-β-rutinoside and 5,7-dihydroxy-flavanone-7-β-neohesperidoside showed, that the above glycosides have the structure pinocembrin-7-β-neohesperidoside (1a).

Die aus Cytisus commutatus (Willk.) Brig. und Cytisus purgans Benth. et Hook. von verschiedenen Autoren isolierten Rhamnoglucoside des (-)-5.7-Dihydroxy-flavanons (Pinocembrins), Sarotanosid und Isosarotanosid, sind miteinander identisch. Ein Vergleich von drei Glykosiden aus den genannten Cytisus-Arten mit synthetisch dargestelltem 5.7-Dihydroxy-flavanon- 7-β-rutinosid und -7-β-neohesperidosid ergab, daß den natürlichen Glykosiden die Struktur Pinocembrin-7-β-neohesperidosid (1a) zukommt.
