Notes: Abstract The gamma-gamma angular correlations of the 209.0–184.6, 494.3–393.6, 494.3–300.2 and 703.6–184.6 keV cascades in67Zn have been measured. Mixing ratios of the 209.0, 300.2, 393.6 and 703.6 keV transitions are deduced. A spectroscopic study could not confirm the existence of a recently proposed level at 710 keV.

Notes: Abstract Directional correlations between gamma radiation andL x-rays in182W have been measured. The x-rays are emitted following the internal conversion process of the 100.1 keV 2+ → 0+ transition. The experimental results for anisotropies involving gamma radiation emitted in the 1189.0 keV transition andL x-rays are A(γ−L l )=−0.073(27),A(γ−L α)=−0.0102(45),A(γ−L β)=−0.0031(35), andA(γ−L γ)=−0.007(13). The value deduced for the coefficientU 2(e) pertaining to the converted transition isU 2(e)=0.52(8) in reasonable agreement with the theoretically expected value 0.410. A note is given on the use of internal conversion radial matrix elements.

Notes: Abstract Excited states of136Ba are studied in the beta decay of136Cs. The gamma spectrum is measured with high-resolution and coincidence techniques. Several new transitions are suggested to be connected with two recently reported levels. Gamma-gamma directional correlations are performed in an attempt to determine the characteristics of these levels, and in order to determine mixing ratios. The lifetime of the 2207.5 keV state is remeasured, and the lifetime of the 2140.5 keV state is measured for the first time.

Notes: Abstract The decay of126Sb to126Te is studied by use of Ge(Li) detectors in singles and coincidence arrangements. The gamma-gamma directional correlations of six cascades are measured. A level scheme is constructed where all transitions observed are located. The characteristics of several of the levels are assigned, on basis of the logft values deduced and the directional correlation results. Mixing ratios are deduced for three transitions. From the comparison of the relative intensities ofE1 andE2 transitions depopulating the same levels, threeE1 transitions are concluded to be strongly retarded.

Notes: Abstract States in93, 95, 97, 99, 101Tc are studied in a unified model calculation without any adjustable parameters except the excitation energy of the first 1/2−state. The positive parity states are described as a mixture of (p 1/2)2(g 9/2) J 3 and (p 1/2)0(g 9/2) J 5 proton configurations coupled to a core undergoing quadrupole oscillations. For the negative parity states a proton quasi-particle in thep 1/2,p 3/2 andf 5/2 orbits is coupled to the vibrations. Calculated energies and electromagnetic moments agree quite well with available data.

Notes: Abstract A study is made of nuclear molecular configurations involving one heavy mass partner. The stability of these configurations to mass flow and to fission is investigated as well as their population in fusion reactions. It is concluded that shell effects in combination with the effects of angular momentum may be important in stabilizing certain configurations. The spectrum of rotational and vibrational transitions within molecular configurations is investigated. For sufficiently mass-asymmetric systems the energies of vibrational transitions are comparable to the neutron separation energy. Gamma radiation from such transitions may then be observable above the background of statistical transitions. The gamma spectrum and the directional distribution of the radiation following fusion reactions with12C and16O are calculated.
