Summary A series expansion method is presented to express the analytical solution for a general potential non-circulating flow past a perturbed two-dimensional circular body in terms of a source/sink distribution over the surface of the perturbed body. Since there are no singularities internal to the surface, the solutions provide useful bench mark test cases for corresponding numerically based source/sink panel methods of solutions.
