Conclusions The thermal stability of fibre-forming copolymers of tetrafluoroethylene with ethylene and of tetrafluoroethylene with a perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether has been investigated by the derivatography method, and the temperature ranges of crystallization and degradation of these copolymers have been determined. It has been found that melts of the investigated fluorine-containing copolymers have high thermal stability, and the temperature interval between the end of melting and the start of decomposition is 95–100°C. This assures the possibility of processing copolymers of tetrafluoroethylene with ethylene and of tetrafluoroethylene with perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether into fibres by the extrusion method.
