Notes:
Near-IR Fourier transform (FT) Raman spectroscopic measurements were performed at high pressures for the first time by mounting a diamond-anvil cell on the optical stage of an FT-Raman microprobe equipped with a long-range 4 × objective and by using a near-IR (Nd: YAG, 1064.1 nm) laser to excite the sample. The utility of this new pressure-tuning Raman microspectroscopic method was demonstrated by its successful application to a typical organometallic complex, Cr(CO)4(bipy)(bipy = 2.2′-bipyridyl), which decomposes under conventional visible Raman spectroscopic conditions.
