    Notes: Abstract. Three cases of isolated inverted Meckel's diverticulum are described. In two cases an initial pathological diagnosis of small bowel lipoma was suggested. In a third case central fat was demonstrated on CT and peristalsis of the intraluminal polypoid mass was observed during US examination. In all three cases small bowel enema examination demonstrated the lesion. Correlation of the clinical, radiological and pathological features is emphasised, as this will allow the correct diagnosis.

    Notes: Summary Further observations are presented on the descriptive psychiatry, course, prognosis and psychopathology of the nemesis feeling, a conviction or fear by a patient that he is destined to follow a life pattern identical to that of one of his parents, and that in the end he will suffer an untimely death or incapacitating illness similar to that suffered by his parent. The nemesis fear is rooted in the patient's profound feelings of guilt over the parent's death or long-term illness, which occurred during the patient's childhood, and for which the patient feels in some way responsible. The presenting symptoms may be phobic, anxious, obsessive or psychosomatic, but the underlying psychopathologic process with which therapy must deal is the nemesis concept.

    Notes: A method is described for the analysis of solutions containing inorganic tin and butyltin compounds. It can be used to determine total tin at a concentration of 20 ng dm-3 using a 5 dm3 sample. The method is based on solvent extraction with dichloromethane containing tropolone and determination of the tin as inorganic tin by atomic absorption spectroscopy using electrothermal atomization. The extracted butyltin compounds can be separated by paper chromatography and the tin content of the individual spot determined as above. Observations on the stability of butyltin compounds in water at the ∼2 mg dm-3 (Sn) are included.
