Abstract In haploid, diploid, triploid, tetraploid and hexaploid cytotypes of the scopalamine-yieldingDatura innoxia, the amino acid profiles were studied. The results suggest that the amino acid composition is influenced quantitatively by increasing ploidy levels, but in an irregular way.
