Notes:
A wall-stabilized arc chamber has been built to make spectroscopic measurements in order to study thermal plasmas. An experimental design method has been carried out in order to control and to optimize all experimental setup parameters. Pure Ar, Ar–CO2, and Ar–N2 mixtures have been used to test time reliability and homogeneity of the plasma. © 2000 American Institute of Physics.
