Intramolecular 1,3-Dipolar Cycloadditions of N-Allyldiazoacetamides and N-Allydiazomalonamide EstersThe N-allyldiazoacetamides 1, 1a are unstable at 20°C and yield cis-hexahydropyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrazoles in the course of an intramolecular 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition. The N-allyldiazomalonamide esters 4, 4a form the corresponding cycloadducts substantially faster. The cis-anellation of one of the bicyclic products is shown by the X-ray analysis of the derivative 10. The diallyldiazoketone 11 which is isosteric to 1 and the secondary N-allylmalonamide ester 12 are stable and fail to furnish intramolecular cycloadducts. The qualitative appraisal of the HO, LU-energies and the atomic coefficients is in agreement with the observed reactivities and the regiospecifity.
Notes:
